 (1) cGPA of 2.0; AND
(2) Grade C+ in CHEM1005 Introduction to Chemistry
Computer Science
  • Computer Science
 (1) cGPA of 2.0; AND
(2) Grade C in COMP1005 Essence of Computing; or
Grade C in COMP1007 Introduction to Python and Its Applications
 
Mathematics
  • Mathematics and Statistics
 (1) cGPA of 2.0; AND
(2) Grade C in MATH1025 Understanding Mathematics and Statistics
 
Physics
  • Green Energy and Smart Technology
 (1) Grade C in GEST1005 Introduction to Green Energy and Smart Technology#; AND
(2) Grade C in at least two other Year 1 Science and Technology courses (including SCIE1006, SCIE1007, BIOL1005, CHEM1005, COMP1005 and MATH1025)

# For students admitted to Science Year 1 in or before 2022-2023:
Grade C in PHYS1005 Introduction to Green Energy; or
Grade C in GEST1005 Introduction to Green Energy and Smart Technology

*Remarks:
  1. If "DT (Distinction) / S (Satisfactory) / U (Unsatisfactory)" grade instead of “Letter grade” is assigned for the Year 1 Science and Technology courses in sem 2 of 2021-22, students who get “DT” or “S” grade in the relevant Year 1 Science and Technology course will satisfy the minimum grade requirement of the respective major programme.
  2. The minimum requirements may be waived upon approval by the Undergraduate Studies Committee for special case.
